Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
The Creative Kind respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data I collect when you use thecreativekind.club or work with me, why I collect it, and what rights you have.
Who I am
The Creative Kind is run by Sara Pintado, a sole trader, based in London, UK. I am the data controller for your personal data.
Contact: the.creative.kind.club@gmail.com
What I collect
• Contact details: your name and email address when you get in touch, book a session or join my newsletter.
• Booking details: session dates and times, what you booked, and invoice records if you pay for a session. I don't take payments through this website.
• Coaching information: what you share before, during and after sessions, such as answers to pre-session questions, workbook answers and notes I take. You choose what to share.
• Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at the site. See the Cookie Policy below.
• Messages: anything you send me by email, contact form or social media.
I don't ask for sensitive information such as health details. If you choose to share something personal in a session, for example about burnout or wellbeing, I treat it as confidential and only use it to support your coaching.
Why I use it and my lawful basis
UK GDPR says I need a lawful basis for each way I use your data. Here's what I do with it and why:
I use your details to deliver the coaching sessions, courses and tools you've booked, because that's part of our agreement (contract). I send invoices and keep financial records to fulfil our agreement and because the law requires it (contract and legal obligation).
I reply to your messages, keep my business secure and handle any complaints or legal claims because I have a legitimate interest in doing so (legitimate interests).
I only send you my newsletter, and only use cookies to understand how the website is used, if you've agreed to it (consent). You can unsubscribe or change your cookie settings at any time.
I don't sell your data, and I don't use it for automated decision-making.
Who I share it with
I only share your data with services that help me run The Creative Kind. They process it on my instructions:
Website and email newsletter: Squarespace (hosting, forms, analytics and Email Campaigns)
Newsletter: Substack
Email, bookings and video calls: Google (Gmail, Google Calendar appointment scheduling and Google Meet)
I may also share data if the law requires it, for example with HMRC or my accountant.
International transfers
Some of these providers store data outside the UK, often in the US. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US Data Bridge.
How long I keep it
Coaching notes and workbook answers: 3 years after our last session, then deleted
Invoices and financial records: 6 years, as required for tax
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe
Enquiries that don't lead to work: 3 years
Your rights
You have the right to:
access the personal data I hold about you
ask me to correct it if it's wrong
ask me to delete it
object to or restrict how I use it
receive it in a portable format
withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing
To use any of these rights, email the.creative.kind.club@gmail.com. I'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
Keeping your data safe
I use secure, password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication, and I only keep what I need. No online system is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Children
My services are for adults. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
